We left the powerful beauty of the massive granite to a splendid open meadow that stretched for miles.

Heading to new places north
The dramatic Wyoming sky keeps changing by the minute
We made camp by a small unnamed lake. While David filtered water he observed a beaver slap the water a few times as a warning to stay clear of his lake.
This day was more than I had imagined, powerful and beautiful.
Steep climb of of Cirque to highest point on this trip 11439’. We left the powerful beauty through a beautiful green meadow studded with lakes and a stream. Nice to be back on the mother trail. The Cirque of the Towers was more than imagined. Shear granite towers and walls everywhere.
A gentle rain provided a sleep serenade last night. The clear blue sky welcomed our wakening. In short orted we are off to view the Cirque of the Towers. We have two passes to do today
Camped by no name lake
