A view from the.campsite this morning
A mile and a half to summit Two Oceans Plateau. With no heat and fresh bodies we fly up the grade.
A Live Photo of us hiking the last of the grade
The view from the top
Easterly view from the top
The lakes on top were all but dry. We are grateful we didn’t force ourselves to finish the grade with a dry water source as a reward
More open ground to hike
The Snake River
The Snake River starts in this valley and coils its way to be a great western River.
Yellowstone finally!
We lunched beside the Yellowstone guard cabin
A coil of the Snake River
So anothe ruffled grouse hen is protecting her brood
Turns out we just walked off trail around her as she was not intending on moving.
Another shot of Mrs Ruffked Grouse
The Snake River
The Snaje River at our camp
We arrive at our camp after a long hot day. We are the only ones for now but six additional hikers arrive later. A nice campsite with flat sites and a crossbeam for our food. It is very nice to have made Yellowstone park on this hike.
A satisfying day of good hiking.
